The Power of Diligence

Hebrews 11:6  6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently (by persistent work and effort) seek Him.

(AMP)   6But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].

There is a door that opens up to the believer who persistently seeks God. We must first receive our salvation, wealth, healing, deliverance, etc, by faith. We by faith receive it without having to see it, touch it, or feel it, by the pure fact that it’s in the Word, we receive it by faith. Faith does not begin without knowing and hearing the will of God, or Word of God.

Romans 10:14 (NKJV) 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

How do you know what you have if you don’t know your Word? The only way to accomplish it is to re-establishing our relationship with God by engaging his word, persistently with work and effort on a daily and nightly basis.

How’s your relationship with God? How are you relating with your God on a daily basis?

The person who is diligent in the Kingdom of God, will see with increasing clarity, the goals and the things God has called you to do.  How long will you seek God? How long will you live according to His ways? The enemy is trying to take away your time, your ability to spend time with Him because you start to rely on your own efforts, will power.. etc. We must be steady and constant in order to walk in any kind of prosperity. God desires for his people to be prosperous, healed, and delivered.

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers

When’s the last time you had a good session with the Word in your home? What did you discuss?

Relationships – Are channels to blessings and curses

Priority 1: Relationship with God! He has to be EVERYTHING! Lord, Everything I do, I want to do it for you. That is the reason I LIVE! How you relate to the Word of God determines how you relate to Him, because He is the Word. (The Word became flesh)

Priority 2: Relationships with fellow believers

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.

If we are not having fellowship with other believers, then that is evidence that we are walking in the dark. The Word may illuminate our mind, but our lives will remain in darkness. It’s time to turn away from the wrong relationships. We need to start developing godly fellowship with one another because the wrong relationships will slowly draw us away from God and the direction of the Holy Spirit.

How will the wrong relationships affect our relationship with God?

2 Corinthians 6 12 You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections. 13 Now in return for the same (I speak as to children), you also be open. 14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” 17 Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” 18 “I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”

Does money, or work affect the relationships we build? How?

Matthew 6:33 (NIV) 33But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Luke 12:31 (NIV) 31But seek His kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

Don’t struggle with how to be blessed. Struggle with making God priority.

The way to abundance, joyful living, is to invest what God has given to you. INVEST?? HOW?? Invest in the Kingdom.

Consistency ushers through breakthrough. Consistent in building the right relationship. Relationship with God is not limited to Sunday Morning, or Tuesday and Wednesday Nights. Invest in the Kingdom and your Relationships, especially your relationship with God.

Are you the one with the cup or the pitcher? Are you blessed to be a blessing?

One of the best places to sow seeds is in the lives of fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. You are investing in their lives and could be an answered prayer for a need. Relationships are the biggest investments. Primarily your relationship with God. Many times we lack places to sow and don’t end up sowing because we don’t know of any needs because we have no relationship.

Where we are right now is a result of the seeds we have sown in our lives. We must be careful to sow into GOOD ground. God Ground. Before you invest -> investigate.  One of the best places to sow, is in your local church.

Luke 10:38-42 38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” 41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Martha was too busy with work, Jesus says, listen to me, like Mary is. Martha was overly occupied, and was distracted. When we become overly occupied, we open the door to distraction. Don’t rebel to the Sabbath. Open a place for rest, there is a reason why he appointed a time to rest.

Distraction – When we are overly occupied (TOO BUSY) we become distracted. A distraction is an intrusion of the mind to cause confusion. Isn’t this the devils agenda? We know we need to read, but we don’t because of distractions. Do you push God out of the way, because you are too busy? Do you become like Martha?

What are well known distractions in your life?

You have to MAKE yourself do it! It’s not always easy, but do it anyway. ENGAGE – Don’t be hearers only, be a DOER of the Word. We will accomplish so much more at the feet of Jesus than by our own efforts. Cast all your cares on Him. God gives us money on our ability to handle it, and we will never know how to do that if we don’t spend time with God.
