Walking in Faith and Love

Marc 11 ²² And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. ²³ For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. ²⁴ Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. ²⁵ And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

 Marc 11:25 AMP ²⁵ And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop.

 When you pray forgive, if you ought against any. If we look at any example where Jesus talks about praying, he mentions forgiveness. Why?

Ought means anything at all, no matter how little. Some people know not to have something big over someone else, but, what if it’s a little bit of unforgiveness? The bible says the little foxes spoil the vines. It’s not so much the big things that get in our way, but the little things that keep our prayers from being effective. Refuse the least bit of animosity, ill will, wrong feelings, do not let it touch you. It’s as deadly as a rattlesnake.

Have you ever been hurt or offended?

Your flesh has this little “get back” attitude. In the inward man, old things pass away and become new but not necessarily in the flesh (outward man). Your flesh still craves things. You hit me, I’ll hit you. You spit me, I’ll spit you. You curse me, I curse you. You talk smack about me, I will talk smack about you. You act like a fool, I will treat you like a fool. Etc.

The outward man perishes, but the inward man is renewed day by day.

2 Corinthians 4: ¹⁶ For this cause we faint not, but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

This is why Paul says, 1 Corinthians 9: ²⁷ But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

When Paul says I keep my body into subjection, what he means by I is the inward man, the spirit man. I rule my body, my body don’t rule me. Here is a great man of God who wrote half the New Testament. His body must have wanted to do something wrong, for it to be brought under subjection (control). Other scriptures say to present your body as a living sacrifice. Crucify the flesh, etc. That’s your responsibility. Your reasonable service. Some people think this is only in regards to sexual things, but it’s not just sexual things, but everything else.

Did you ever want to hit someone or tell them off?

Galatians 5 ⁶ For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Faith works by love. If there is no love, faith wont work. Love has to do with forgiveness. God loved us, and forgave us, not because we deserved it, but because he loved us.

Ephesians 4 ³² And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

1 John 3 ¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

WE KNOW that we pass from death to life. Not physical death that hasn’t happened, but spiritual death. How do we know it? How do we know we are saved according to this scripture?

How has your view of love changed since becoming a Christian?

Some people throw the word love around. I love the Lord. Im going to church … unless it rains. We talk a lot about love, but we don’t see much of it. That’s a sad thing. What do you do? Act as if you so love them, because deep down, you do. There are too many baby Christians who do not know better. Most people would not need healing, or anointing with oil, or prayer if they were just walking in love. If you ever get out of love, you can get back into love. Some people have experiences miraculous healing upon forgiveness, without any further prayer.

 Exodus 15 ²⁶ And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put (permit) none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought (permitted) upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

The Hebrew translation for the word brought does not exist in the English language. Its more of a Word that means allow, or permits sickness in the human body. God does not Himself put diseases in your body. The devil is the one that does it.

Exodus 23 ²⁵ And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water (food); and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. ²⁶ There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

Israel had the ability and potential to fulfill their days without sickness or disease.

Deuteronomy 7 ¹⁵ And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

Under the old covenant, these are the rules.

John 13 ³⁴ A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. ³⁵ By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

 All men, that means everyone, not just in Christ, but the world will know.

How will they know you are Jesus disciple?

The Old Testament has 10 commandments, but the New Testament has 1.

Romans 13 ⁸ Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

You owe it to everyone to love one another. If you walk in love, you fulfill the law.

⁹ For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ¹⁰ Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

 James 2: ⁸ If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: ⁹ But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. ¹⁰ For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. ¹¹ For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

If you offend in one point, you are guilty of all. If you bear false witness against a neighbor, you’re just as guilty as the one who committed adultery. This is why the Word says we’ve all sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
